Position: Director
Desmond is responsible for the company's overall operations and business coordination, focusing on geopolitical risk consulting and industry trend research in China and neighboring countries, and liaising with SMEs and local government clients. He leads client needs assessment, overall consulting solution design, coordinates project implementation across departments, controls service quality, and is also responsible for business development and client maintenance to ensure stable company operations.
Prior to joining BumiLink, he served as a business manager at a mid-sized geopolitical consulting firm, responsible for regional client development and consulting project management, possessing 8 years of experience in geopolitical consulting and business operations. Previously, he worked as a policy research assistant at a local foreign affairs agency, participating in regional industry risk research. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Politics from the National University of Malaysia (UKM), is familiar with the Southeast Asian geopolitical situation and ASEAN cooperation mechanisms, possesses strong consulting project coordination skills, and is fluent in English, Malay, and basic Mandarin.
