John Lim is a Research Assistant specializing in industry data and trend measurement, with expertise in translating macroeconomic policies and geopolitical shifts into quantifiable industry scenarios and investment mappings. Born in 1985, Lim joined the company in 2012 and is one of the most seasoned research core members on the team.
Lim holds a double bachelor's degree in Statistics and Economics from the University of Malaya. He previously worked as an analyst in the economic research department of a well-known local commercial bank, gaining hands-on experience in industry data analysis and industrial trend assessment. He has a precise grasp of the evolutionary trajectory of Malaysia's and the region's industrial ecosystem. He is fluent in English and Cantonese. Currently, he is responsible for building and maintaining a key industry dataset covering six major economies in Southeast Asia, as well as designing a leading indicators dashboard. Lim collaborates with senior associates to produce in-depth industry research reports, provides data visualization support for client workshops and strategy seminars, and helps clients make evidence-based strategic choices amid complex opportunities for industrial cooperation.
